SLE – Appreciation for self, others, and the world:  Let us ask the Lord that our work today makes us all more humble, meek, more patient, and more trusting in God so that the church may give beautiful witness to the people.  Pope Francis

Dear Parents,

Happy spring!  We are finally getting some beautiful spring weather!  I hope you all are enjoying it as much as my family is.  We have lots of spring activities and yardwork going on at our house.  Love it!

We began our 300 @ $300 campaign last weekend, and we are off to a good start.  Donations are nearing the $15,000 mark.  This campaign has taken the place of our gala, dinner auction that we have done in years past.  It is disappointing not to be able to gather our community together and celebrate, but it doesn’t mean that we can’t join together in spirit!  We ask that you consider giving to this campaign, as it is our largest and most critical fundraiser of the year.  Funds raised through the 300 @ $300 event go directly to our operating budget.  It enables us to keep tuition manageable, pay our teachers, and provide classroom materials, technology, and so much more.  If you would like to make a donation, you can do that HERE.  Thank you for your support!

Tuesday was a special day for two of our favorite guys around here.  Fr. Rob and Mr. Kappel both celebrated their birthdays on Tuesday.  Fr. Rob turned the 5-0!  We love them both and hope they feel it every day!

We are busy planning our end of the year activities already.  Eighth grade graduation, May Crowning, field day, awards, etc., are all coming up quickly!   Graduation for our 8th graders will be held for families on May 21st.  Unfortunately, we can’t invite everyone to attend this celebration of our students, bet we certainly ask you to pray for them!  We will share details on the rest of our events soon.

Also, we are brainstorming the end of school.  We are aware that ending on the 27th, and only being here for an hour is not a great idea.  We will share our plan next week.

Our spring MAP tests (Measurement of Academic Progress) will be happening the week after next.  I will share the schedule with you next week.  The first tests will take place on May 4th.

Please remember that there is no school tomorrow.  God bless and keep you all.

Have a wonderful weekend!

In Christ,

Brock Carpenter
