Principal Letter 4/9/21

But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.  Mathew 28:5-6 Dear Parents,

Happy Easter!!  I hope all of you had a blessed and joyful Easter weekend.   I am so grateful to be able to celebrate these Holy days with the students and staff.  It is such a blessed opportunity to work in a Catholic school, where we embrace and share our faith and love of Christ.  Thank you for this amazing gift in my life!

I would like to congratulate Sacred Heart School students and families who received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation this weekend.  We are so proud and happy for you!

We are more than three-quarters of the way through our school year!  We are into April and our final quarter.  This time of the year can be a blessing and a challenge, as it brings beautiful weather, but so many activities and distractions.  Please remind your students to stay focused and engaged in their classes!

Our 8th graders who will be transitioning to Bishop Kelly High School are taking placement tests at BK this weekend.  Please pray for their confidence and focus as they take this first step in their transition to high school.

Parents, please take a few minutes to check over student uniforms.  I have been noticing several skirts that are getting shorter than our requirements.  Our kids have grown a lot since last fall, and it may be time to let the hem out, or search for a new one in our used uniform closet.  Also, one thing to check is the leggings our young ladies are wearing.  It is still chilly out and many of them want to wear something under their skirts.  That is absolutely fine, but we do have some requirements for tights and leggings.  They must be navy blue, black, or white, and they must reach all the way to the shoe/sock line.  I have noticed a few that reach just to the knee or mid-calf.  That does not meet the requirement for our uniform.  Thank you for taking the time to check!

Have a great weekend!

In Christ,

Brock Carpenter
