Principal Letter 4/1/21

Except for the resurrection on Easter, Holy Thursday is possibly one of the most important, complex, and profound days of celebration in the Catholic Church. Holy Thursday celebrates the institution of the Eucharist as the true body and blood of Jesus Christ and the institution of the sacrament of the priesthood.  – from Catholic News Agency  (for more click Here)

Dear Parents,

I hope that you are all experiencing a blessed Holy Week!  I am so grateful that my own students have the opportunity to learn in a Catholic environment.  As I was around the halls today, I heard teachers talking about today being Holy Thursday, the importance of this day in our Church and own faith lives, and what the next two days would bring, in preparation for the Easter Resurrection.  This is an amazing school, and I am thankful that you all have made the choice to be a part of it!

We wrapped up our Lenten service project this week.  St. Vincent de Paul came by yesterday to pick up their second load of clothes donations.  They were staggered by the generosity of our families, once again!  I want to thank you all for helping to support the important work this organization does!

Our Lenten Pretzel Sale was a huge hit this year!  Our amazing volunteers made pretzels again on Monday, and between the two dates, we raised over $800!  We gave this gift to St. Vincent’s, which they had no idea was coming.  They were so excited to be able to hold on to that money for Children’s Christmas presents next year.

We are busy getting information ready to go out, regarding our Give from the Heart, 300 @ 300 Campaign.  Please look for this information in the next week.  This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and is vital to our school’s success.

We are beginning to plan a playground upgrade/refresher.  We have a committee of staff and parents who are meeting to discuss budget and plans for this project.  We are so excited to update the playground area for our students!

I pray that you all have wonderful and blessed Easter!  Please remember that we have no school tomorrow or Monday.

In Christ,

Brock Carpenter
