csw 2021

We've had a very busy week at Sacred Heart Catholic School celebrating Catholic Schools Week! Since 1974, Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. The theme for National Catholic Schools Week 2021 is “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.” Our students dressed up for a different theme each day and wrapped up with the week with the annual All Schools Mass held virtually with Bishop Peter. Here were our themes:

Monday-

“The fruit of the Spirit is Joy.” Dress up as something you are a fan of, that brings you joy.

Tuesday-

“The fruit of the Spirit is Peace.” A peaceful pajama day.

Wednesday-

“The fruit of the Spirit is Self-Control.” Limit/control yourself to wearing one color. Any color, as much of it as you can!

Thursday-

“The fruit of the spirit is Love.” Love your school, spirit day.

Friday- “The fruit of the spirit is faithfulness.” Mass dress.

Our school service project was to fill four barrels of non-perishable food items for St. Vincent de Paul. Sacred Heart 8th graders led the charge by making signs, standing outside at pick-up to collect food from cars, and creating videos to get other students involved. Not only did we reach our goal of filling 4 barrels, but we knocked it out of the park filling approximately 8 barrels of non-perishable food that will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul.
