Sacred Heart middle school students went on a ride in physical science with a lesson on energy and engineering. Using 6 foot insulation pipes, marbles, and tape--students wore their engineering hats as they went through the design process of both engineering and creating a unique roller coaster. Challenged to incorporate examples of physical energy in motion, many students opted for as many loops and corkscrews as they could include while still keeping their marble in motion.
