October SLE – Appreciation for self, others, and the world: Jesus’ Cross shows the full force of evil, but also the full power of God’s mercy. Pope Francis

Dear Parents,

Today has been a great day at Sacred Heart!  We saw so many creative costumes today… students and staff!  I love the excitement, and our teachers did not disappoint, their costumes were great!  Class Halloween parties are taking place this afternoon, and I want to thank all of our room parents and volunteers for making it such a great experience for our students!

It’s not too late to sign up for a Trunk-or-Treat time for tomorrow.  I hope you can find time to join us for this year’s “carnival!”  It’s going to be different, but fun for everyone.

We wrapped up this year’s Jog-R-Walk yesterday afternoon with an awards ceremony streamed to the classrooms.  It was great to recognize all of our students’ hard work and accomplishments.  Their support and love of our school amazes me!  I am so proud of our success, and grateful for all who supported this event.  We are so blessed with this amazing community!  I especially want to thank Mrs. Renee Shang for her organization and countless hours running Jog-R-Walk this year.  She had a great team around her, which I know she appreciates as well.  Thank you to all of our parents and volunteers… we have raised over $40,000 for the second year in a row, and it’s looking like this year will be even better than last!  Simply AMAZING!

I pray that your families have a fun and safe Halloween and weekend.  Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour on Saturday night!

In Christ,

Brock Carpenter
