Dear Parents,

I reach out to you this morning from an empty school, where I am missing the joyful noise of children's voices!  With teachers and staff working from home as much as they can, it seems exceptionally quiet and lonely here for mid-March.  I'm sharing a quick video check in with all of you this morning, in the place of my normal Thursday letter.  If you need any information on assignments, procedures, etc., please reach out to your children's teachers or to me.  We will respond to you as soon as we can.  Teachers should be able to respond to most emails between the hours of 8:00 am & 3:00 pm.

Pope Francis has asked us all to pray the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary with him today, which is the Feast of St. Joseph.  Please pray with your families.  Also, Masses have been suspended, but you can participate as Masses are being livestreamed in different locations.  Please check our diocesan facebook page Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise Facebook.  There should be resources for Mass posted on the Diocese of Boise Website.

As we join fellow Catholics in participating in Mass online, we can make a spiritual communion with the following prayer:

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

God bless you all, and know that we are praying for each and every one of you!
